The Burns Monument Centre holds two main book collections -
- The Burns Collection
- The Ayrshire Collection
We are also developing Special Collections, for example Kilmarnock Periodicals (1815 – 1900) and Books Printed in Ayrshire (1780 – 1851).
We also hold most of the Ayrshire newspapers from 1834 and a large collection of maps.
Ayrshire Archives at the Burns Monument Centre holds Kirk Session and Burgh Records, valuation rolls, and archives of companies, societies and families.
